Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover

Updated: Oct 16, 2023

AMAZON - From Colleen Hoover, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of It Ends With Us, aheart-wrenching love story that proves attraction at first sight can be messy.

When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn't think it's love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

Never ask about the past.

Don’t expect a future.

They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.

Hearts get infiltrated.

Promises get broken.

Rules get shattered.

Love gets ugly.

Ugly Love

Review by Deborah Adele

Five Star

Ugly Love is an Ugly Cry - but worth every moment.

I recently read "Ugly Love" by Colleen Hoover; as always, she did not disappoint. The book perfectly balances beauty, sensuality, and heart-wrenching emotion. The unique storyline was unlike anything I had read before.

I was completely absorbed in the book and found it difficult to put down. Every moment while reading. I felt an intense mixture of emotions - excitement, mystery, allure, and sensuality - perfectly balanced.

From the beginning, it was clear that the full picture was not being shown, so each scene gave us another piece of the puzzle: Miles' past.

The story revolves around Tate Collins, who moves in with her brother Corbin and finds herself drawn to Miles Archer, a close friend of her brother who has a haunting past and a mysterious persona. Their unexpected love story unfolds amidst the secrets of Miles' past.

Miles was a captivating individual with a mysterious personality. He possessed intelligence, sensitivity, and a certain allure, but his past was riddled with painful experiences that caused him to shy away from any hope for his future. He was unwilling to move on and would do anything to avoid experiencing such anguish again. Witnessing his struggle with his fear of love and growing emotional connection to Tate was heartbreaking. The depth of his pain felt incredibly real.

Tate and Miles agree to be friends with benefits, but Tate's feelings for Miles grow stronger every time they spend time together. Despite knowing she shouldn't, Tate falls deeper and deeper in love with Miles.

I highly recommend reading "Ugly Love," an emotionally gripping and unforgettable book.
